Making connections through the Behaviour Change Intervention Ontology

7 August 2024

We were delighted to welcome PhD students Bibi Heiberg and Kristina Pfeffer from the University of Southern Denmark for a visit.

Researchers from the Centre for Behaviour Change and University of Southern Denmark

We were pleased to host PhD studentsBibiHeiberg and Kristina Pfeffer from the Danish Centre for Motivation and Behaviour Science, University of Southern Denmark for a week-long visitat the end of July 2024.

Both Bibe Dige Heiberg and Kristina Pfeffer have been using the Behaviour Change Intervention Ontology (BCIO) in their research, and were keen to come to the Centre to gain more experience with it. It was a great opportunity for us to have their fresh perspective and work closely with members of our team, who help to oversee the BCIO.

During the week, Bibe and Kristina supported us greatly with developing Fidelity and Engagement Ontologies, which will be part of the BCIO.

Dr Paulina Schenk (Research Fellow, CBC) and Lisa Zhang (Research Assistant, CBC) who worked closely with Bibe and Kristina said:

“Huge thanks from us, Professor Susan Michie and the entire CBC team for your support and insights during the week (and delicious Danish pastries!). We hope to collaborate again in the future and are thrilled to have you as part of the BCIO community!”

Kristina and Bibe said:

“Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to come and visit you and learn about your centre, the Human Behaviour Change Project, ontologies, fidelity and much more. We are now back home in Denmark filled with inspiration and good memories and lots of ideas for future collaborations.”

About the Behaviour Change Intervention Ontology
