The University Archaeology Day 2024 will take place at the British Museum on 13 July.

Archaeology is a very broad subject that combines arts, humanities and sciences and is great for developing a mixture of academic and practical skills.ÌýAn archaeology degree can open doors to all kinds of careers, and at the University Archaeology Day 2024Ìýyou can find out everything you need to know about studying this exciting subject.

UCL archaeologists worked with experts from 24 other universities to create the UK's first University Archaeology Day in 2017, aimed at inspiring a much needed next generation of archaeologists. The event now takes place annually with this year's University Archaeology Day being held at the British Museum on 13 July.

Join the University Archaeology Day 2024Ìýfor a day of lectures, seminars, careers talks, meet and greets and more!ÌýThisÌýfree eventÌýis designed for prospective students, teachers and parents to learn about the many degree programmes on offer across the UK, to discover the huge range of career opportunities that an archaeology degree can lead to, and to hear about some of the latest archaeological research.

You will meet lecturers and current students from archaeology departments across the UK, as well as representatives from professional bodies and employers, participate in themed online sessions covering excavation and key debates in 21st century archaeology, and get a chance to explore first hand what it’s like to study archaeology at university and the career opportunities available afterwards.Ìý
