Interruption of study application form for PGR students

Make sure you read the Postgraduate Research Interruption of Study Procedures (Part A, Section 2.8) and the information in these webpages before making an application. These include important information and details of where you can get help and support.

Once you have familiarised yourself with the process, you will need to submit the following form to your supervisor. You may apply for an interruption of up to one year in the first instance. An interruption request should be submitted before the start of the interruption period, but not more than 1 month after the interruption period has started.

Please note: You cannot interrupt your studies once you have entered CRS (you may request a CRS extension).

Ensure you complete these before you interrupt activities to enable you to keep in touch with your department and / or SSW services as needed whilst you are on interruption and to maintain access to UCL online resources including Portico, your UCL email and electronic resources in the Library.

See our Interruption FAQs page for more information.
