Slovenia has been a member of the European Union since 1 May 2004.听A brief overview of the country鈥檚 political system, trade and economy and Slovenia as an听EU member state can be viewed on听Slovenia established diplomatic relations with the UK in 1992.听The Slovene community in the UK is very small. According to the听, there were about 4.000听Slovenes听living in the United Kingdom in 2018.
