A Conversation with Lorenza Mazzetti, including  rare screenings of her two London films K (1954) and Together (1956) is taking place at Birkbeck Viewing Theatre, 46 Gordon Square, London WC1 0PH, from 3.00 - 5.30pm on Thursday 14 March 2013. Please note that the event is fully booked.

Alumnus Sean Hillen has participated in Donald Taylor Black’s new Irish Film Board-funded documentary, Skin in the Game, which examines the current financial crisis through responses of a number of artists who are using it as subject matter for their work. The film will be screened at the Irish Film Institute, 6 Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2 at 6.30pm on Tuesday 12th March 2013. See .

Martine Poppe is the winner of the Provost's portrait competition, to commemorate the end of UCL Provost Malcolm Grant's term of office, funded by UCL alumnus Mr Vincent Cheung. The result was announced on 25 February 2013.

The competition, which was open to students and recent graduates of the Slade School of Fine Art, took the form of a sketching session last summer, from which five finalists were chosen: paintings by Martine Poppe, Ishai Rimmer, Sorcha Williams, a photograph by Thomas Jenkins and embroidered panel by Tom Worsfield.
