Turkey cracks down on building contractors as quake death toll reaches grim milestone

Dr Yasemin Didem Aktas (UCL Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering) commented on the scale of damage and says it indicates that the buildings were either "not designed in line with the code in the first place, or the implementation wasn鈥檛 designed properly.鈥�
