Professor Francois Balloux (UCL Genetics Institute) comments on the听EG.5.1. sub-variant of the Omicron variant of the Covid-19 virus, saying it听is increasing in frequency in the UK, but does not seem particularly concerning, as cases and hospitalisations are low but increasing.
