Why the term ‘endemic’ is misunderstood

Professor Tim Colbourn (UCL Institute for Global Health) explains endemic does not mean a lack of severity, but a “steady state of equilibrium without large peaks”. It is too early, he suggests, to say Covid-19 is endemic.
