Our key commitments to students include:

• Expanding our careers resources and support to make sure students are equipped with the skills to thrive in the workplace as their authentic selves.
• Providing institutional training to UCL staff so they are equipped to meaningfully support our LGBTQ+ community, particularly our trans, non-binary and gender non-confirming students.
• Developing , so that this fund has longevity and can continue supporting as many trans students as possible throughout their time at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË.
• Auditing student systems to make sure that changes to name, title and gender can be carried out as seamlessly as possible.
• Gathering better data on the experiences of LGBTQ+ students at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË to identify strategies to support them further.

Getting involved

Over the next few months, the Students’ Union will be conducting research on the impact of the Gender Expression Fund and investigating the experiences of LGBTQ+ students using the Volunteering Service.

These projects are crucial in identifying the barriers faced by LGBTQ+ students and creating strategies to overcome them.
