What are you studying, why are you interested in this subject and what do you plan to do in the future?

I studied Computer Science (MSc) at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË from 2015 to 2016. I’ve always been interested in computers and programming after getting into coding when I was 13 years old by reading a book on Python.

What is the most interesting thing you’ve done, seen or got involved with while at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË?

Working with AIDS Orphan to raise funds for an Everest Base Camp adventure. Standing at a tube station at 6am with a bucket for cash is an experience I’ll never forget. After seeing thousands of Londoners engrossed in their mobile phones while our group stood, IÌýwas reminded of the importance of staying present in the 'now'.

Have you discovered any hidden gems during your time at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË?

The Portico at night – sitting on the steps and listening to to the sounds of London (perhaps with a glass of wine).

Give us your top three things to do/see/go to in London:

  1. Play at the driving range at Greenwich that looks over Canary Wharf;
  2.
TryÌýsome home-style Persian cuisine at Beranjak in Soho;
  3.
GoÌýfor open water swimming in the Royal Docks.

What’s one thing you’d like to see in a post-Covid world?

Mass physical decentralisation of talent, capital and startups. Covid taught usÌýthat we can work effectively remotely – this has resulted in the start of this decentralisation process and exodus of talent from Silicon Valley to other parts of the world.Ìý

Who inspires you and why?

Jimmy Wales –Ìýkeeping Wikipedia independent and unbiased for so many years is a great example of sticking to your mission and principles. Ìý

As a self-proclaimed geek, I now enjoy the outdoors far more than being on my computer indoors. This wasn’t true five years ago!
