UCL's semi-professional opera company - UCOpera - is proud to bring you the British premiere of Charles Gounod's opera 'Polyeucte'.听
With ravishing music, 'Polyeucte' tells a story of love, passion, and religious fervour in defiance of an all-powerful Roman empire.听
A talented cast of young singers join the UCL Symphonic Chorus and Orchestra led by award-winning conductor Charles Peebles. Much-admired British director Thomas Guthrie directs UCOpera's stark and striking production.听
