Description

This module will provide you with the opportunity to study current standards of practice in medical research that comply with UK and international research governance framework. Through teaching and assessment students will be able to demonstrate ability to comply with UK legal and regulatory requirements and integrate sustainability considerations into clinical research governance. Specific topics relevant to the module assessment include the Human Tissue Act 2004, Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986.

As you begin your career in research, this module prepares you to negotiate issues relating to research integrity and ethics as applied to your research.
