Description

Professional Practice ModuleThe Professional Practice Module is made up of three elements:

School Experience placements in our partner schools, where you will be supported by school mentors and university tutors to develop and refine your teaching skills;
Subject-specific taught sessions at the university, designed to develop your subject-knowledge and to equip you to be able to confidently teach all the subjects of the primary curriculum;
Taught sessions in Professional Studies, which will support you to become a reflective practitioner and to develop the professional knowledge, understanding and skills that you will need to be an effective classroom teacher.

Carefully designed Professional Learning Tasks are also used as part of this Module to enable you to focus in greater depth on specific areas of teaching and learning, and to help you to make links between theory and practice.
