Description

This 75-credit module in the MArch Bio-Integrated Design encompasses the main project of the year and is developed as part of a group project with a clear applicability in the built environment. The focus lies on materialising previously developed concepts via intense fabrication in the workshop and growth systems in the laboratory. Following the Introductory Design Project, there are more specific seminars and workshops with invited experts in the field of architecture, biotechnology, synthetic biology and ecology that underpin the student’s design explorations. The final aim is to develop a series of larger-scale prototypes that will be exhibited in the BPro show in September.
