Careers and Employability

A qualification in Medical Physics or Biomedical Engineering opens the door to a wide range of careers for our graduates.

Our graduates are ideally placed to pursue a range of careers whether contributing to emerging technologies in the medical technology (MedTech) sector, carrying out clinical or academic research or utilising their transferable skills in a global organisation.

As well as scientific and engineering expertise, our graduates have transferable leadership and communication skills and the ability to work flexibly and creatively in multidisciplinary teams. They are problem solvers, keenly numerate and skilled in analysis – but also well-rounded individuals, with an understanding of the impact of engineering on society.

Our postgraduate degrees offer an excellent starting point for further doctoral studies, as students learn from world-leading UCL researchers at the cutting edge of their fields. Find out more about our research programmes.
