We offer various events and activities to welcome new students and get you started with using UCL's libraries, library resources and services. In addition to these central activities, you may have library welcome and induction and library skills sessions integrated into your academic programme timetable or available locally at your library.

International Student Library Seminars
As a UCL student, you will have access to UCL鈥檚 many libraries, extensive printed library collections and vast online library. We understand that navigating such a wealth of resources can be a challenge that may seem particularly daunting if it is also your first time in the UK or English is not your first language. Attending one of our International Student Library Seminars might just solve these issues.
The seminars run from 12:15 to 13:00 every day during the week听Monday 16听September to Friday 20听September, and are being held at the UCL Bloomsbury campus. Booking required.

Support Services Fair
- North Cloisters,听Wilkins Building, Bloomsbury, 10:30 to 15:00 on Monday 23 September, Tuesday 24 September and Wednesday 25 September
- UCL East, 10:30 to 14:30 on Friday 27 September.
Introduction to Explore training sessions
Explore is UCL Library Services' single search tool for finding journals, books, full-text articles, archive material and much more. Find out听how to search, understand your听search results, and view听your library account, as well as how to access UCL's vast online library. Sessions will be听held in the Science Library, DMS Watson G.15 ground floor teaching cluster听from听12:00 to 12:25听and 12:30 to 12:55 every day during induction week, Monday 23 - Friday 27 September. Getting Started welcome support in Main Library and Science Library
As a UCL student you can use any of UCL's many libraries. Each library has a unique character and printed collections for different subjects. Come and explore Main Library and Science Library during the induction period, where friendly library staff will be on hand to welcome you, give you information to get you started with finding your way around the libraries and answer any questions you may have. No booking necessary, but you will need your UCL ID card to get in the libraries.
