CfP: Dorothy Sayers in the 21st Century

Proposals are invited for 20-minute presentations on the central theme of Dorothy Sayers’ work, its interpretation, publication and reception in the twenty-first century.

This one-day seminar, arranged in partnership between IAS and the , aims to bring together early career researchers, writers, academics and independent scholars to explore, discuss and share ideas on the work and life of Dorothy L Sayers.

Sayers (1893-1957) is best known for her work as a detective novelist. She was also an essayist, poet, translator, lay theologian, advertising copywriter, playwright, reviewer, and a prolific letter writer.

We invite proposals for 20-minute presentations on the central theme of Sayers’ work, its interpretation, publication and reception in the 21st Century. Abstracts of circa 250 words, with a brief presenter’s biography, should be sent to m.rawlinson@ucl.ac.uk by 5pm on 12 July 2024.
