Bursaries for UCL students to take part in Fall School on Classical Reception in the Performing Arts

UCL is participating in aÌýFall SchoolÌý(organised within the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme) onÌýMemory and Performance: Classical Reception in the Performing ArtsÌýonÌý23-28 October 2023Ìýat theÌýUniversity of Parma.

UCL is participating in aÌýFall SchoolÌý(organised within the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme) onÌýMemory and Performance: Classical Reception in the Performing ArtsÌýonÌý23-28 October 2023Ìýat theÌýUniversity of Parma, with practice-based workshops on music, dance, dramaturgy, translation, museology and archaeology as well as a three-day theatre workshop with directorÌýÌý(Teatro delle Albe) and dramaturg/academic Giovanna Di Martino (UCL) on an ancient comedy by Aristophanes,ÌýPeace, in a selection of early modern and contemporary translations of the play. In addition to the in-presence activities on 23-28 October, the programme includes 7 online sessions, 5 occurring before the school and 2 after: attendance to these is compulsory.ÌýÌý

Students, academics and theatre practitioners participating in the school come from the following partner institutions: University of Parma; Université de Tours-CESR; Université Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle; Université Paris Nanterre; Univerzita Palackého v Olomouci; University of Groningen; Université Paris 13 Nord; NYU.Ìý

There have been allocatedÌý7 bursaries for current UG and PGÌý(MA and PhD)ÌýstudentsÌýat »Ê¼Ò»ªÈËÌýfrom the following departments:ÌýGreek & Latin; the School of European Languages, Culture and Society;ÌýArts and Sciences. Each bursary will beÌý£300 ca.Ìýto spend towards travel and accommodation expenses in Parma.Ìý
