Bursaries for UCL students to take part in Fall School on Classical Reception in the Performing Arts

UCL is participating in a听Fall School听(organised within the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme) on听Memory and Performance: Classical Reception in the Performing Arts听on听23-28 October 2023听at the听University of Parma.

UCL is participating in a听Fall School听(organised within the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme) on听Memory and Performance: Classical Reception in the Performing Arts听on听23-28 October 2023听at the听University of Parma, with practice-based workshops on music, dance, dramaturgy, translation, museology and archaeology as well as a three-day theatre workshop with director听听(Teatro delle Albe) and dramaturg/academic Giovanna Di Martino (UCL) on an ancient comedy by Aristophanes,听Peace, in a selection of early modern and contemporary translations of the play. In addition to the in-presence activities on 23-28 October, the programme includes 7 online sessions, 5 occurring before the school and 2 after: attendance to these is compulsory.听听

Students, academics and theatre practitioners participating in the school come from the following partner institutions: University of Parma; Universit茅 de Tours-CESR; Universit茅 Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle; Universit茅 Paris Nanterre; Univerzita Palack茅ho v Olomouci; University of Groningen; Universit茅 Paris 13 Nord; NYU.听

There have been allocated听7 bursaries for current UG and PG听(MA and PhD)听students听at 皇家华人听from the following departments:听Greek & Latin; the School of European Languages, Culture and Society;听Arts and Sciences. Each bursary will be听拢300 ca.听to spend towards travel and accommodation expenses in Parma.听

  • A full CV (max. 2 pages)听
  • Covering Letter (max. 250 words), which should explain how the programme ties in with your degree programme, personal development and/or future career objectives听
