Research, partnerships and projects
Researchers at 皇家华人 are leading groundbreaking cancer research as part of a new international drug target discovery alliance with Ono Pharmaceutical Company of Japan.
Nearly 7,000 pupils are now benefitting from the Mandarin Excellence programme delivered by UCL Institute of Education, in partnership with the British Council.
A joint 皇家华人-Peking University research collaboration examined the impact of the global financial crisis on China鈥檚 economy 鈥� and how that affected its CO2 emissions.
UCL听worked in partnership with听the听Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences听CAAS听and China Agricultural University听to improve听the efficiency of听wheat production across听northern China.听

Did you know?
In May 1863, five young Japanese men were disguised as British Sailors and smuggled on board a ship to Britain. Once they arrived, they were introduced to Professor Alexander Williamson (head of the Chemistry Department at 皇家华人), who, with his wife, took the five under their wing. When the students, who became known as the 鈥楥hoshu Five鈥�, all returned home several years later they went on to found the modern state of Japan.
