UCL Computer Science Summer School

The UCL Computer Science summer school is designed to provide an engaging and supportive learning environment for A-COMPS and In2Stem A-level students (16- and 17-year-old students).

UCL CS research groups will guide students through masterclasses, hands-on activities, and challenges that will give them insight into computer science. In addition to technical skills, students will also develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills that are essential for success in the field of technology. Ìý

Students will spend their last day with an industry partner to learn about careers in tech and meet industry professionals.ÌýÌý

Throughout the summer school, students will have hands on activities and the opportunity to explore topics such as:Ìý

  • Artificial intelligenceÌý
  • Surgical data scienceÌý
  • Virtual realityÌý
  • °ä²â²ú±ð°ù²õ±ð³¦³Ü°ù¾±³Ù²âÌý
  • Human interactionÌý
  • Assistive technology with the GDI HubÌý
  • ¸é´Ç²ú´Ç³Ù¾±³¦²õÌý

The aim is to create a fun and interactive learning experience for all students, regardless of their prior experience with computer science. By the end of the programme, students will not only have gained valuable knowledge and skills, but also the confidence and motivation to pursue further education and explore careers in the field of computer science.Ìý
