ISH joins the Climate Heritage Network contributing to preparation for COP26 in Glasgow

The Institute for Sustainable Heritage has joined the Climate Heritage Network (CHN), which was launched in 2019.
The CHN is a voluntary, mutual support network of municipalities, cultural and heritage organisations and academic institutions committed to aiding their communities in tackling climate change and achieving the ambitions of the Paris Agreement.
The CHN focuses on providing support to organizations from jurisdictions that have made concrete climate action pledges such as those in the Under 2 Coalition and the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy.
The network has four broad themes: Heritage and Climate Science and Communication, Heritage and Carbon Mitigation, Heritage and Adaptation, and Planning for Loss and Damage.
ISH has committed to CHN activity that will build the heritage, arts, and culture constituency within climate policy discourse.
This pool of cultural heritage actors will participate in the 2020 UN Climate Summit (COP26) planned for November 2020 in Glasgow and similar climate change policy meetings.
