Research and Service ReviewÌý

UCL Accommodation is a member of the Investor in Students accreditation scheme which takes a 360 assessment of our students’ experience in halls, and helps us understand how we can improve our service. You’ll be contacted throughout the year about surveys where you can give us your feedback.

You may also be contacted about opportunities to participate in interviews, focus groups, or other research aimed at improving the student experience led by the UCL Campus Experience team.

Recent project highlight:

  • The Trans Experiences in Accommodation Project. In the 2023-24 Academic year, we worked with a group of 22 students, including 3 co-researchers, to understand the factors that shape trans thriving, safety, and belonging in UCL halls. We developed 23 recommendations to improve gender inclusivity in accommodation. We worked closely with UCL's trans student and staff community throughout to ensure our work centres community interests.ÌýWe invite you to access theÌýfull report and download project resources. *"Trans" is shorthand for "transcendent of the Western cisgender binary."
