The dark side of dark chocolate

ADHD drugs could help Alzheimer’s patients
UCL Psychiatry researchers have co-authored a study finding that drugs used to treat ADHD like Ritalin could help treat Alzheimer’s as well because they target the part of the brain that controls attention, learning and memory.
Facemask use as Covid rates increase
“I’ve never stopped wearing a mask on public transport and in shops. I now also wear one during face-to-face meetings at work and would if I was going to the cinema, theatre, etc.” said Professor Christina Pagel (UCL Mathematics).
Talk therapy could ease pain but is often overlooked
“Psychological methods tend to be tried only when everything else has failed. People only get exposed to these kinds of ways of understanding their pain later on,” said Professor Amanda Williams (UCL Psychology & Language Sciences).
Looking to the future
Professor Geoff Mulgan’s (UCL Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy) new book “Another World is Possible: How to Reignite Social and Political Imagination,” urges people to focus on the future to come up with new social and political ideas.
New children’s poetry laureate
