It is mainly business and legal correspondence with Bertram Christian and correspondence re establishing the home with Florence B Maw, director of the Orphanage, Sir Edward Boyle, honorary treasurer of the SRF, and William Binns.

Contents: correspondence re the finance, administration and staffing of the Orphanage, including the absence of the Orphanage's director Florence Maw, her replacement with William Binns and Binns' reports from the Orphanage which stress problems with British staff and concerns with the children's diet. Correspondence is mainly with Florence Maw, William Binns and Gertrude Carrington-Wilde, trustee of the Orphanage Trust.
