Femto Pulse
We use an Agilent听Femto听Pulse System听in order to听accurately size and judge the quality of our DNA and RNA samples. This system is particularly good for long-read samples due to its ability to separate high molecular weight DNA. Megaruptor 3
Some long-read projects benefit from a slight initial DNA fragmentation, and it is extremely important that any shearing is reproducible. We use a state-of-the-art听Megaruptor听3 from听Diagenode, to precisely and reproducibly fragment our samples听in order to听optimise downstream library sequencing. Blue Pippin
In order to听optimise some libraries, we use听Labgene听Scientific's Blue Pippin听to perform size selection. This can be used for a variety of听projects, and听for听both DNA听and听also听cDNA for听RNA-based projects. For more information on Blue Pippin, please see the听labgene听website:听
